Lodestar Logistics LLC is a freight broker, not a data broker. We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

  • Operational Sharing (Freight): To facilitate the movement of goods, Shipper details are shared with the contracted Carrier, and Carrier/Driver location data is shared with the Shipper/Receiver.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business (e.g., load tracking software like Macropoint or DAT, factoring companies), provided those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by the DOT, FMCSA, law enforcement, or in response to valid legal requests.

STRICT PROHIBITION ON SHARING MOBILE CONSENT: Notwithstanding the above, no mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

2. Nature of Services (Broker Authority)

Lodestar LLC acts solely as a property broker licensed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

  • We are NOT a Motor Carrier: We do not own trucks, employ drivers, or physically transport goods.
  • Role: Our function is to arrange for the transportation of freight by third-party motor carriers.
  • Independent Contractors: The carriers we engage are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, or partners of Lodestar Logistics LLC.

3. Mobile Messaging Terms & Conditions

By consenting to Lodestar Logistic LLC’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Lodestar Logistics LLC through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list.

Program Description:

  • Customers and Guests: Updates regarding your orders, shipment tracking, deliveries, appointment confirmations, or other relevant service information.
  • Job Applicants: Information about your application status, interview scheduling, onboarding materials, or other employment-related updates.

Disclosures:

  • Message and data rates may apply.

  • Accessorials: Detention, layover, or cancellation fees may apply.

6. Cargo Loss and Damage

  • Limitation of Liability: Lodestar Logistics LLC is not liable for cargo loss.
  • Claims Assistance: We assist shippers in filing claims with carriers.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lodestar Logistics LLC, its officers, and employees from any claims arising from violation of these Terms.
